My fellow citizens,
My name is Umberto Macri. I was born and raised in Montreal and I’ve proudly called Dorval my home since 2015. My parents are from Italian origin. I’m married to Me Maria R. Battaglia Ad.E. a practising attorney here in Dorval. I’m also the father of two adult children from a previous marriage and to Maria’s two adult sons.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and also completed a graduate degree in Community Politics and the Law, both from Concordia University. I then graduated from the Faculté de Droit de l’Université de Sherbrooke and was called to the Quebec Bar in 1991. Since then I have been an attorney in private practice. For 14 years, I served as the president of a Quebec Liberal Party riding association in the Montreal area.
I’m completely fluent in English, French and Italian. I currently practice law at the firm, Maria R. Battaglia, Avocats.
As an experienced attorney in civil, corporate and criminal law, an accomplished businessman with political know-how and effective communication skills, I am ready to offer the citizens of Dorval a truly transparent, capable, competent and intelligent alternative to what is already out there as Mayor of the city of Dorval.
