🌿 Dorval’s OASIS Program: Climate Resilience and Stormwater Management

This past Thursday, October 15, members and municipal councillors of Démocratie Dorval Democracy (DDD) attended the public information session on Dorval’s OASIS program, presented by the project team.
The program focuses on mitigating flood risks and urban heat islands through green infrastructure, including rain gardens, vegetation, and stormwater retention areas.
Importantly, the objective is to reduce and slow the amount of rainwater entering the existing stormwater system, rather than increase the capacity of underground infrastructure.
Five priority intervention areas have been selected by the project team:
Ballantyne Park and Tulip Avenue
Prince-Philip and Montigny Streets
Courtland Park and Stream Avenue
Park and Oriole Crescent
Brookhaven Avenue
These projects remain in the preliminary planning stages, and we encourage residents to review the proposals and share their feedback.
📣 The public survey is open until October 22, 2026. https://consultations-dorval.ca/consultations/la-cite-de-dorval-territoire-resilient
