Why I am ready to be mayor of Dorval

Some members of our community have asked about my qualifications to be mayor of Dorval. I welcome that question because I bring almost 35 years of leadership and legal experience to the table.

I’m confident that my professional background and skills have prepared me to be an effective mayor and team leader.

I also have over 30 years of management and decision-making experience. I’ve managed my own law firm, worked with complex budgets and successfully represented clients in cases worth millions of dollars before different levels of court, including the Court of Appeal.

I’ve earned three university degrees, one in Political Science, another in Community Politics and the Law (Concordia University) and a Law Degree from the Université de Sherbrooke and I have been a proud member of the Quebec Bar since 1991.

I was president of a provincial political riding association for 14 years, navigating several elections, policy development and making tough decisions. I’ve been invited to speak on legal and municipal issues across Montreal and abroad and have taught hundreds of students as a lecturer in civil procedure.

I’m also deeply involved in our community, from helping to organize major events to providing legal guidance to local initiatives and standing up for vulnerable residents, including representing in a civil procedure a former resident of the Herron Residence.

I have the professional training, leadership and vision necessary to represent and defend the interests of the citizens of Dorval with integrity, competence and compassion. My team and I are ready to deliver real results for all citizens.
