Our party supports our aquatic employees and all workers in Dorval. Lifeguards and young employees are not disposable, they are the backbone of our community spaces, ensuring safety, well-being and quality of life for our families.

Our platform is inclusive and rooted in respect for all citizens and employees of Dorval. We believe in investing in our youth, not discarding them. Working as a lifeguard or in any municipal role is more than just a job, it is a stepping stone toward future opportunities, a place to learn responsibility, teamwork and leadership.

This decision to terminate those with fewer than 840 hours may reduce costs on paper, but it undermines the spirit of community. We should be showing our young employees that Dorval values their dedication, their service and their growth.

Under my leadership, we will focus on retaining and mentoring our youth employees, because they are not just workers of today, they are the leaders of tomorrow.

We will make sure all those who were dismissed, without cause, will be brought back immediately and given their initial seniority.

Dorval must lead by example. Supporting our youth is not just the right thing to do, it is the smart investment for the future of our city.
